Job Summary
REPORTING TO: COO CTC: R30,000 – 35,000 Qualifications Matric Diploma/Degree in Marketing (Essential) Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in retail Strong business and data analysis skills Excellent numerical proficiency Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies Competence in SEO and digital best practices A qualification in Retail Management will be advantageous Skills & Competencies Exceptional verbal and written communication at all levels Ability to work flexible hours and thrive in a semi-structured, dynamic retail environment Self-starter with strong time management skills Resilient under pressure and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously Experience in developing digital product catalogues Deadline-driven with proven multitasking abilities Strong eye for detail, design, and branding consistency Key Responsibilities Strategic & Digital Marketing Research and report on current marketing trends in South Africa Conduct competitor analysis and deliver actionable insights Assist in developing the annual marketing calendar and budget Execute all marketing activities including campaigns, events, and PR-driven photoshoots Liaise with the Merchandise team to upload new arrivals to the company website, with bi-weekly stock updates Coordinate with global teams on website campaigns, aesthetic updates (e.g. banners, layout) Oversee and implement the local social media strategy in alignment with global guidelines Monitor digital platforms for responsiveness, functionality, and campaign tracking Provide regular digital reporting and track conversion rates (e.g. online bookings) Content & Communication Develop and post content for digital channels and newsletters Create presentations, emailers, and SMS communication for promotions and events Proof blog articles and manage backend website integrity Design and manage the Company Newsletter Coordinate promotional material, including store signage and design briefs PR & External Stakeholder Management Liaise with PR company (e.g., Sinnamon) and 3rd-party vendors Attend networking events and expos, assisting with planning, stock control, and post-event analysis Coordinate influencer collaborations, manage contracts and product dispatch Develop beneficial brand collaborations and joint campaigns Store Engagement & Customer Experience Maintain regular store visits to review marketing execution and materials Act as a point of contact for customer complaints from store level to social media, ensuring timely resolution Monitor Live Chat functionality and engage where necessary Administration & Reporting Manage marketing budgets, supplier invoicing, and ordering of consumables and print materials Maintain trade marketing calendar and event tracking Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on marketing activity and campaign effectiveness Compile PR status reports and marketing analysis Brand Management Uphold and manage brand consistency across all platforms Ensure internal teams are kept informed of all marketing objectives and initiatives Ensure quick responsiveness to market trends, in partnership with agencies and suppliers
