Job Summary
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians and apprentices within the workshop.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all vehicles.
- Oversee daily workshop activities and technician support.
- Handle team management, stock control, reporting, and safety compliance.
- Maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring jobs are completed in a timeous manner and of a high standard.
- Ensuring workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard
- Reinforcing correct safety behaviors, reporting all hazards and incidents.
- Providing workshop reports weekly to management
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) and a relevant technical qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the motor industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent knowledge of workshop operations, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry
- Record-keeping techniques
