Job Summary
Location: Polokwane, Limpopo
Position Type: Full-Time | Live-Out
A distinguished luxury hotel in the heart of Polokwane is looking for a skilled and charismatic Barman to join our exceptional food and beverage team. This is your opportunity to work in an elegant, high-end environment that prides itself on delivering world-class service and unforgettable guest experiences.
We are seeking a professional who is passionate about mixology, knowledgeable about fine beverages, and thrives in an upmarket, guest-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the beverage menu, specials, and promotions
- Process orders efficiently using POS systems and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Assist with bar stock takes and inventory control
- Monitor guest consumption and comply with legal alcohol service regulations
- Work closely with the food and beverage team to ensure seamless service
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a barman in a luxury hotel, lodge, or fine dining establishment
- Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Neat and professional appearance
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Own reliable transport (live-out position)
