Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and complete systems for industrial machinery.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers during the design and integration phases.
- Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers, production, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate documentation including BOMs, drawings, and design records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the industrial machinery or automation sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC, sheet metal, welding).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
