Job Summary
As the Portfolio Manager Assistant, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day administration, coordination, and compliance for a growing investment book. Working closely with Wealth Managers, your organizational prowess and ability to navigate regulatory frameworks will be key to ensuring seamless client service and efficient back-office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
- Maintain accurate and compliant client records
- Liaise with service providers to facilitate account opening processes
- Monitor new business workflows and follow up on exceptions
- Prepare documents for client meetings and reviews
- Uphold regulatory standards in all administrative tasks
- Provide exceptional service to Wealth Managers and clients
- Assist with investment switches, top-ups, and related functions
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- 2–3 years of experience in investment administration or similar financial role
- Relevant BCom degree
- In-depth knowledge of FICA/FAIS and regulatory compliance
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
