• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with company policies.
• Creditors Management:
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and approvals.
  • Schedule payments and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Follow up on discrepancies and resolve payment queries.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure compliance with payment terms.
• Debtors Management:
  • Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and liaise with clients to resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain a clear record of client communications regarding outstanding balances.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support payroll and other accounting functions as required.
• Maintain organized records and prepare financial reports as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (1–3 years) in bookkeeping or accounts administration.
• Strong understanding of creditors and debtors management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
• Based in the Garden Route region (essential).

Preferred:

• Basic understanding of VAT and tax regulations in South Africa.
• Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and financial statements.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and suppliers.
