Overview:
Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a qualified and experienced GCC Engineer  to join a quarry mining operation in the Western Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of the quarry, ensuring that all operational activities comply with legal and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement maintenance and operational plans for the quarry
– Manage and supervise a team of quarry workers and technicians
– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
– Monitor production output and quality control processes
– Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and facilities
– Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
– Collaborate with other departments to optimize quarry operations
– Prepare reports and documentation as required

Qualifications and Skills:
– BSc/BEng Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
– GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) Mines and Works is required
– At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
– Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
– Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications
