• Must have a B. Sc. Agric. or B. Agric. with Agronomy, and/ or Soil Science as major subjects
• SANSOR/BASOS/AVCASA accreditation will be of great advantage
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Agriculture
• A solid understanding, relevant experience, and knowledge of good agronomic practices are required
• Broad technical know-how of crops, products and farming practices is essential
• Basic trial design and agronomic crop production understanding is advantageous
• Fluency in Afrikaans (Read, Write, and Speak)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel when required

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing product demonstrations in the field and region to support the overall sales and marketing strategy.
• Investigating, understanding, capturing, and communicating aspects of key crop production.
• Implementing regional business strategies and plans consistent with the overall marketing strategy.
• Implementing agreed demonstrations and in-field marketing trials and activities to influence and support sales.
• Recording and collating information and data to support product performance and assist Marketing with relevant data for the development of promotional material.
• Identifying key crops, products, market opportunities and threats.
• Developing the competence, motivation, and commitment of Dealers and Agents through effective training, promotion, and sales support aids.
• Keeping abreast of market, trade, and competitor activity to revise strategies according to changing requirements.
• Promoting and introducing products.
• Creating demand for the comprehensive range of seed.
• Establishing demo trials for field days.
• Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Gathering market intelligence and crop production information.
