• Matric is essential
• Must have electrical Trade Test Certificate
• Similar experience would be beneficial 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands-on work in the data centre environment, including temperature monitoring, cooling calculations, generators, power capacity, highly available services, server components, humidity, space planning, cabling, patching, labelling, deployment of racks and active equipment within including UPS devices and anu other critical infrastructure.
• Monitoring data centre and communications rooms, maintaining security standards and reporting on any deficiencies.
• Ability to work successfully within a team, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation and procedures, including work instructions and processes.
• Planning, and prioritising based on business need in a rapidly changing environment.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance On a daily basis. Complete preventative maintenance of equipment. Operate in tight spaces, run cables around assigned data centre.
• Engage in building projects and check utilities.
• Make sure the data centre does not overheat, by carefully examining power sources and heating and cooling controls.
• Provide live support to clients and co-workers, Troubleshoot problems as they occur.
