The role of the housekeeping attendant is not just about maintaining cleanliness, but about curating an environment that reflects the Lodge’s serene and elegant ethos. You will be instrumental in ensuring every guest’s experience is seamless, pristine, and truly unforgettable, contributing to the magic where luxury and the wild converge.

Candidate requirements:

• Matric, with a relevant hospitality qualification would be beneficial, but not essential
• Previous experience as a housekeeping attendant at a luxury safari lodge/camp is essential
• At least 3-5 years of solid housekeeping experience is required
• Basic knowledge of health and safety is required
• An exceptionally keen eye for detail
• Professional, approachable, communicative, guest orientated, hands-on, solution-focused and proactive, honest and reliable, efficient and productive, organised and energetic

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring all areas of the lodge reflect attention to detail in cleanliness.
• Upkeep of maintenance and materials used, whether it is cleaning material, chemicals, and understanding material surfaces and textures
• Daily room and public area inspection.
• Planning laundry and cleaning schedules for the week ahead
• Coordination with management and front of house regarding special guest needs (milk, bar fridges, decoration for celebrations etc. )
• Stock and inventory control and reporting when stock is low

Live-in. 3 weeks on 1 week off. Food allowance or staff meals included.  Might be sharing depending on others’ work cycles. Rooms are modern and newly built. Electricity, staff kitchen, shared bathroom.
