We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to take on a critical role in the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, specifically Drill Rigs, Loaders, and other diesel-powered machinery. You’ll be based on-site, ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment (Drill Rigs, Loaders, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostics systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform field service work as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports, and service records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to meet production goals.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

• Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working on mining equipment
• Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, Atlas Copco or similar underground equipment
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel systems
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading fault codes
• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08 or higher)
• Sound knowledge of safety protocols in mining operations

 Advantageous (Not Essential):

• Underground mining experience
• OEM certifications or dealer training
• Knowledge of CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto)
• Basic welding or fabrication skills
