Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the seafreight operations team on a daily basis.
• Allocate new business, ensuring scope of work is clear and followed.
• Oversee Out of Gauge and hazardous shipments to ensure compliance and correct handling.
• Monitor invoicing, costings, and profitability of all shipments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, files, and SOPs.
• Ensure smooth communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Prepare and review reports (GM, activity, stock, invoicing, and compliance).
• Drive service excellence with existing clients and develop growth opportunities across other routes and transport modes.
• Enforce compliance with internal controls, customs requirements, and Arms Control regulations.
• Manage staff leave planning and adherence to departmental job functions.

Requirements

• Matric plus relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in seafreight exports, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous and Out of Gauge shipments.
• Solid understanding of customs, invoicing, and international compliance processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage operations efficiently.
