REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Industry-relevant qualification (e.g., Engineering, Drafting, or similar field)
• 3 – 5 years of experience as a Draughtsman
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in EPLAN software

 
DUTIES:
 
Initiation and Planning:

• Attend internal and external kick-off meetings following review of inputs
• Liaise with clients
• Evaluate scope and specifications

 
Clarification, Design & Procurement:

• Clarify and develop specifications by using clarification checklists
• List all project deliverables required in the project plan
• Use EPLAN / AutoCAD software to develop engineering drawings
• Manage and control all project-related documentation
• Develop project deliverables as per list and sign off against QCP
• Develop BOM(s) as per design and issue signed-off BOM to procurement to process PO’s
• Sign off on documentation
• Client liaison and management

 
Manufacturing & Engineering:

• Implement redlining initiated at Factory Acceptance Tests
• Assist with project-related queries

 
Installation & Cold Commissioning:

• Implement redlining

 
Hot Commissioning & Handover:

• Implement redlining and providing As-Built (handover) documentation
• Commit to and maintain schedule and key dates
• Provide daily feedback to Operations Manager using time tracking sheet
• Comply with design and development procedures
• Raise any issues via early warnings so that delay notices may be raised
• Comply with Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and policy
• Ensure all documents and correspondence are backed up on the respective server
• Avoid willful or negligent obstruction of another’s duties

HOURS:

• Monday to Friday: 06:30 – 15:30
