Our client, in the Engineering Industry, based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ an HVAC Draughtsman.

Job Overview:
The overall responsibilities will include developing and detailing HVAC systems including ducting, piping, and electrical services. This includes the development of drawings for manufacture and installation. In this position accuracy is paramount, with a good understanding of mechanical building services.

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in Revit essential.
• Grade 12 / Technical equivalent.
• Building services exposure.
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical will be advantageous.
• HVAC industry experience will be advantageous.
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License essential.
• Clear criminal record and medical as well as continual maintenance thereof.
• Flexibility to work long hours when required.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Customer Satisfaction will always be the main objective.
• AutoCAD design drawings.
• Design and AutoCAD drafting of complete HVAC works including air distribution calculation, duct sizing, duct layouts, refrigerant piping, chilled water piping, diffusers/grill sizing etc.
• Administering the drawing office and keeping all project drawings and records up to date.
• Produce standard legends and notes for drawings.
• Compiling all HVAC design work for site monitoring.
• Compile all design information and parameters, to produce heat load calculations and design, to design air conditioning and ventilation system, to do ducting design work and equipment selection.
