Our client, a manufacturing company based in Uitenhage, is seeking an energetic, young-at-heart, and hardworking Production Manager to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of managing both production operations and staff effectively to ensure seamless day-to-day performance across the plant.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Code 14 (EC) Drivers License

• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)

• Valid Forklift License

• Own reliable transport to and from work

• South African ID

• Willingness to work overtime as required

Key Responsibilities:

Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Tasks:

• Opening and locking up of the manufacturing plant and office each day

• Placing stock and PPE orders with suppliers

• Monitoring and managing stock control across all departments

• Supervising and managing all manufacturing staff and, when required, truck drivers and logistics staff

• Overseeing production planning and operations in line with schedules and targets

• Managing general maintenance of the plant and equipment

• Preparing and compiling sales estimates and quotations for customer orders

• Assisting with customer deliveries and occasionally standing in as a truck driver when required

• Operating the forklift to assist with loading trucks (internal and outsourced transport)

• Ensuring consistent product quality and resolving any production-related issues

• Identifying and implementing improvements to production processes and efficiency

• Responding to alarm activations or other plant-related emergencies when necessary

• Performing any other production-related duties as required
