About the Role

Network International is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager – Polymers to join its team in Cape Town. This role will focus on expanding business across Southern Africa, leveraging technical expertise and strong market knowledge to deliver commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by achieving volume, revenue, and margin targets across assigned territories
  • Proactively identify and develop new customers, distributors, and market opportunities
  • Lead negotiations, prepare compelling proposals, and successfully close deals
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing technical guidance on PP & PE applications, with a focus on metallocene-based products
  • Partner with customers and distributors to support product adoption and technical requirements
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver regular activity and market reports
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely order fulfilment
  • Champion the introduction and growth of ExxonMobil metallocene products across key geographies, driving adoption and market share

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline
  • Solid track record working with PP & PE product portfolios; prior exposure to metallocene technology is a strong advantage
  • 5–8 years’ proven experience in technical sales or business development within the polymer industry
  • In-depth knowledge of polymer processing techniques such as film extrusion, injection moulding, and blow moulding
  • Familiarity with Southern African markets will be considered an asset
