Requirements:

• Team Leader / Blasting Assistant Certificate (essential).
• Standard 8 (Grade 10) qualification or higher.
• Competent A Certificate (mandatory).
• Proven underground mining experience in:
  • Shotcrete applications
  • Mesh and lacing
  • Barring operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Lead, motivate, and guide teams to meet daily production and quality targets.
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
• Oversee the correct application of shotcrete, mesh, lacing, and barring processes.
• Perform barring operations to ensure workplace stability and safety.
• Carry out workplace inspections and report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and safety incidents.
