A Guesthouse (B&B) in Pretoria (Gauteng) seeks to appoint a live-in Guesthouse Manager to oversee and manage the operations at the Guesthouse. Key Responsibilities Oversee all operations including reservations, check-in/check-out, invoicing, guest relations, housekeeping, breakfast service, stock-control, maintenance, marketing, service improvement and staff management. Manage and train staff and co-ordinate staff activities. Daily cash-ups, petty cash management, purchases of daily essentials, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Maintain and manage inventory and stock. Manage guest relations and attend to special guest requests. Resolve guest complaints promptly. Manage on-line and other guest reviews and feedback to improve services. Assist to promote and market the Guest House through on-line platforms. Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance to ensure the Guest House is clean, safe, and well-maintained. May occasionally assist with meal preparations for guests or to make arrangements for meals. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including health and safety. Requirements: Previous experience as a Manager in a Guest House, Lodge or Boutique Hotel Strong administrative and financial skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly with guests and lead a team.
