As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Lighting Design Engineer with strong proficiency in Relux and/or DIALux to join our design team.

The Role

As a Lighting Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing accurate, creative, and compliant lighting designs using industry-standard software. You’ll work closely with clients, architects, electrical engineers, and sales teams to deliver tailored lighting solutions across a variety of sectors including retail, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop lighting layouts and simulations using Relux, DIALux, or DIALux EVO.
• Prepare detailed lighting designs, calculations, technical specifications, and reports.
• Interpret architectural drawings, MEP plans, and client specifications to deliver design solutions.
• Ensure all lighting designs meet relevant standards (e.g., CIBSE, EN12464, LEED, BREEAM).
• Provide photometric analysis and lux level reports for tender and construction documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to deliver on project requirements and deadlines.
• Support project bids and client presentations with technical expertise and visuals.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, lighting regulations, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of lighting design experience using Relux, DIALux, or DIALux EVO.
• Strong understanding of lighting design principles, photometry, and relevant standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (and ideally Revit or BIM workflows).
• Familiarity with lighting controls and energy-efficient lighting technologies (e.g., LED, daylighting, occupancy sensors).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
