Job Description

We are seeking a competent and motivated Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to support the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems within Oil & Gas and Power Generation projects. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of power distribution networks, equipment selection, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain multidisciplinary exposure, work closely with civil and mechanical teams, and contribute to the safe and reliable delivery of industrial and plant electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for industrial and plant environments.
  • Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and load calculations.
  • Conduct fault level analysis, relay coordination, and power distribution studies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Supervise contractors during electrical installation and testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide maintenance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and civil teams to ensure integrated project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current preferred).
  • 2–5 years’ experience in electrical design or maintenance in Oil & Gas or Power Generation sectors.
  • Familiar with IEC, SANS, and IEEE standards.
  • Proficiency in ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and HV systems.
  • ECSA candidate or professional registration preferred.

Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.
