‍ Commis Chef – Luxury Restaurant | Kalahari, NC Kendrick Recruitment is looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join a luxury restaurant in the breathtaking Kalahari. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior chef to gain hands-on experience, develop culinary skills, and work in a high-end, dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ professional kitchen experience, a love for food preparation and presentation, and the drive to learn and grow within a talented culinary team. You’ll thrive under pressure, embrace teamwork, and contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences to guests in a stunning setting. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in food preparation and cooking according to the restaurant’s high standards * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen * Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations * Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of dishes * Learn and develop new culinary techniques under guidance of senior chefs * Work collaboratively within the kitchen team to ensure smooth service Requirements: * 1–2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment * Strong passion for cooking and food presentation * Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team * Willingness to learn and develop within a luxury culinary environment What’s on Offer: Salary: R8,500 per month (DOE) ✈ Flights provided for leave Work cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off 50% of Discovery medical insurance covered If you’re a dedicated, enthusiastic junior chef ready to grow your career in a luxury restaurant environment, we want to hear from you!
