F&B VACANCY ALERT Position: Food & Beverage Manager Location: Greater Hoedspruit, Limpopo Property Type: 5★ Luxury Game Lodge Role Overview A prestigious 5★ luxury lodge in the Greater Kruger is seeking a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead its culinary and guest service operations. This hands-on leadership role requires a creative food & wine professional who thrives on guest delight, staff development, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fine dining or luxury safari hospitality, with exceptional attention to detail, an energetic approach to leadership, and a flair for delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Oversee all Food & Beverage operations, from kitchen to service floor, ensuring world-class standards. Lead menu planning and food styling in collaboration with chefs, aligned with lodge food philosophy. Manage food and beverage stock control, portioning, supplier sourcing, and cost systems. Train, mentor, and motivate the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Lead guest dining experiences, including lodge dining, bush dinners, and special events. Uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety standards. Drive creativity, ensuring food and beverage offerings remain fresh, modern, and memorable. Assist with Front of House operations during guest arrivals, departures, and lodge inspections. Minimum Requirements Diploma in Hospitality / Lodge Management. 3–5 years’ Food & Beverage experience in a 5★ boutique lodge or Big 5 reserve. Culinary background and menu development experience highly advantageous. Strong food and beverage stock control and purchasing experience. Service and hospitality training skills. Knowledge of food trends, wine, and guest delight service. Strong leadership, staff motivation, and team development skills. Excellent administrative and IT skills. Valid Code 8 driver’s license and own transport. South African citizen or valid work permit. Salary & Benefits R30,000 – R33,000 per month (negotiable, depending on experience). Live-in position (2-bedroom house provided). Meals on duty. Pension fund. Staff bed nights. 21 days on / 7 days off work cycle. Annual leave: 15 days.
