Manager: Head of Department Engineering Location: Northern Cape Offer: R 2 000 000 .00 per annum Eligibility: Open to South African Citizens Closing date: 23 November 2025 Key Performance Areas (KPA) Oversee and manage the engineering organizational structure Contractor management and supervision of service providers Manage engineering workshop facilities and related support functions Ensure customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement Budget management and cost control Drive optimization and investigation of engineering challenges Lead project management , costing , and capital control initiatives Ensure risk management and legal compliance across engineering functions Oversee asset management and infrastructure maintenance Implement and monitor engineering processes and systems Provide strategic leadership and influence within the engineering function Promote and ensure SHERQ adherence and continuous improvement Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering GCC (Mines & Works) essential Qualification in Middle Management Legal Appointment: Regulation 7.2 or 2.13.1 Minimum 10 years operational engineering and production experience in a mining and plant environment (appointed as Section Engineer or similar) Minimum 5 years Project Management experience ( recommended ) Preferred / Recommended Qualifications Postgraduate qualification such as MSc, MBA, MDP, or Management Diploma
