Job Description
Our client, a global leader in power and automation solutions for the mining and heavy industrial sectors, is looking for a Sales Representative to grow their footprint across Southern Africa.
This role calls for a true hunter — someone who thrives on winning new business, managing key accounts, and providing value-driven engineering solutions.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, or Marketing, or equivalent technical sales experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales within mining, heavy industry, or electrical systems
- Proven track record in business development and account management
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, motors, drives, or control systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Willingness to travel regionally for site visits and client meetings
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in heavy industry and mining
- Manage and expand existing client relationships to achieve sales targets
- Present technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth order execution and after-sales support
- Track sales performance, monitor industry trends, and report on market activity
