Johannesburg City: Tractor Operator – Urgently needed posted by Mbodla

Position based at a tyre recycling facility based in Village Deep. The Tractor Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the tractor (or similar heavy machinery) used to move, tow, or transport waste tyres and related materials within the factory premises. This role plays a key part in supporting production, logistics, and yard organization while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate the tractor or towing equipment to move loaded and empty trailers containing waste tyres around the factory.Transport tyres between storage areas, processing zones, and loading/unloading bays as directed.Assist with loading and offloading of tyres using attachments or manual support where necessary.Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and perform basic maintenance such as checking oil, coolant, and tyre pressure.Report any mechanical defects, unsafe conditions, or operational issues to the Supervisor immediately.Maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in the yard and around the factory.Support the production and logistics teams to ensure a steady flow of tyres to and from processing equipment.Keep the tractor and surrounding work area clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and environmental policies.Assist in general factory or yard duties when not operating machinery.Undertake other responsibilities as may be required from time to time by management to support the operations.
