Our client is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional with proven expertise in cost management, contract administration, and project financial oversight.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, overseeing tendering processes, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project teams to provide accurate financial reporting, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Minimum requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying is non-negotiable
• 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying
• Strong understanding of high-end residential construction processes
• Proven track record in cost control, project management, and business operations
• Proficient in MS Projects, Procore or similar programs
• Valid drivers license
• Own vehicle
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for high-value projects
• Analyze architectural and engineering plans to develop comprehensive budgets
• Cost control and cost management
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
• Manage cash flow projections, supplier payments, and subcontractor claims
• Procurement
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency
• Evaluate bids and secure favorable terms to maximize value without compromising quality
• Valuation & Reporting
• Conduct monthly valuations, prepare payment certificates, and reconcile final accounts
• Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to the CEO

Remuneration:

Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience
