Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation and support to faculty and instructional designers in conceptualising, designing, and developing online course components.
  • Apply evidence-based instructional design principles to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
  • Support the development of multimedia learning materials including audio, video, and simulations.
  • Advise partners on best-use educational technologies to enhance the online learning journey.
  • Manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, maintaining timelines and overcoming challenges collaboratively.
  • Review and refine online courses to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with best practices, including conducting quality checks prior to external reviews.
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand the needs of adult learners in an online environment.
  • Contribute to ongoing innovation and continuous improvement within the Academic Services team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in online course design and development, ideally within higher education or corporate training.
  • Proficiency with Canvas and at least one other Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Quality Matters Certification is advantageous.

  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities, with proven experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to guide, support, and motivate faculty and design teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a diplomatic approach.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various educational technology tools.
  • Professional level English communication skills.
