Job Description
We are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a finance team based in Roodepoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily accounting functions, processing transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end reporting. This role is suited to someone with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile bank statements (Cashbook).
- Manage and process petty cash.
- Capture supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
- Process purchase orders and reconcile outstanding contractor invoices.
- Process and reconcile monthly credit card and petrol card statements.
- Prepare and upload customer invoices and maintain the debtors age analysis.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, bookings, and service schedules.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Perform analytical checks on monthly expenses.
- Order office refreshments, stationery, and consumables.
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end processes and ad-hoc finance duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping qualification (or currently studying towards one).
Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Professional communication skills.
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information responsibly.
Working Environment:
- Office-based position in Roodepoort.
