About the Role
The Commercial Manager plays a critical role in driving business growth, risk management, and sustainability for our organization. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, with a dotted-line relationship to the Head of Risk and Insurance, this position requires a strong commercial acumen and expertise in stakeholder relations management.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit compelling proposals for business opportunities within the freight sector and related industries.
- Research and screen tenders and Requests for Proposals/Information/Quotations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.).
- Support the preparation of proposals driven by Head Office and where required, by business units.
- Final review and approval will be conducted by the Commercial Director and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with strategic business development projects and divisional strategic initiatives as needed.
- Provide support on risk and insurance matters.
Requirements
- Strong business knowledge and commercial acumen.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a commercial role.
- Prior experience in the freight, logistics or maritime industry is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B-Degree) with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
