Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the company’s products and services.
- Generate new business through prospecting and cold calling.
- Keep the company top of mind for customers, leads, and prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships through regular client visits and needs analysis.
- Create interest through networks and online platforms.
- Actively pursue and prioritise leads and opportunities.
- Present proposals, quotations, and product information professionally.
- Negotiate and close deals to meet targets.
- Manage the sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
- Deliver excellent customer service and after-sales support.
- Resolve customer queries promptly.
- Ensure orders are processed according to policy.
- Promote customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide regular updates.
- Attend scheduled appointments and submit weekly route planning.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Provide market intelligence and drive market share growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales role.
- Experience in transport or trailer sales is advantageous.
- Strong ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Self-driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when required.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must reside in Durban or Pietermaritzburg.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
