Role Overview: The Senior Sales Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests receive outstanding, personalised retail service. The position requires a deep understanding of luxury products, a flair for sales, and a commitment to excellence in line with brand standards. Key Responsibilities: Delivering exceptional guest service aligned with luxury standards and SOPs Providing accurate product knowledge and making tailored recommendations Driving revenue growth and supporting the achievement of sales targets Assisting with inventory control and stock management Handling guest enquiries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally Ensuring optimal visual merchandising and product presentation Supporting the management team in daily operational tasks Maintaining communication with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences Actively promoting and aligning with the lodges broader conservation and sustainability initiatives Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 23 years experience in retail or sales, preferably in a luxury setting Previous experience in safari lodges or hospitality retail highly advantageous Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence Strong adaptability and ability to manage shifting priorities High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism In-depth understanding of luxury retail trends and design Proven ability to build relationships and drive sales performance Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) Strong computer literacy Genuine enthusiasm and passion for the design and retail industry This position offers the chance to work in one of South Africas most iconic safari destinations, engaging with a discerning international clientele and being part of a team that embodies luxury, quality, and purpose.
