Johannesburg: General Insurance Actuarial Manager

Key Responsibilities Lead actuarial projects in pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and IFRS 17. Develop and implement advanced statistical and actuarial models. Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members. Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions. Job Experience & Skills Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar. Experience: Minimum 7 years in short-term insurance, pricing, reserving, or capital modelling. Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary. Project management and leadership experience advantageous. Knowledge of SAM, ORSA, solvency calculations, valuations, and regulatory frameworks. Skills: Proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical modelling (advantageous).
