Durban: Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities: Documentation Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of PIs, WIs, FMEAs, Process Check Sheets. Train Shift Leaders according to standardized documents. Prepare reports on production performance, process deviations, and improvement efforts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with process, quality, tooling, maintenance, projects and production teams for ongoing support and troubleshooting. Process Monitoring and Control: Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment. Ensure production processes adhere to established standards and specifications. Adjust machine settings and parameters to maintain optimal performance. Complete daily Process Checks Process Improvement: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement (ME, TQM). Collaborate with process, quality, tooling, maintenance, projects and production teams to develop and implement process improvements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as A3 Problem Solving, Gemba Walks, Kaizen, 5S, Total Quality Management, Manufacturing Excellence Program, Hoshin Kanri. Use statistical and financial data to justify Kaizens Job Requirements: 4 years minimum relative experience. N6 / N Dip / B-tech Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering / Chemical Engineering or other Relevant Qualifications and Experience Experience in manufacturing process control. Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment. Attention to detail. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Intermediate Computer Skills (MS Office) Experience using CAD Software
