Western Cape: TECHNICAL AND QUALITY MANAGER posted by Farm Manager SA

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (Degree or Diploma).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in fruit industry and farming
• Fresh product knowledge (Included but not limited: Table grape, citrus, blueberry, tomatoes, peppers, and onion)
• Understanding the dynamics and interaction of fruit production, packaging, supply chain and marketing
• Knowledge of Paltrack, Dipar or QX system will be advantageous.

 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
 

• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Excellent inter-personal skills with a proven ability to build, nurture and maintain relationships with growers, suppliers, receivers and internal staff
• Strong administrative and time management skills
• An in-depth and detailed knowledge of the industry, how it operates, the products and the personalities
• Good computer skills (MS Office, Office 365 Outlook, Excel, and pivot tables
• Comfortable working over multi-cultural boundaries
• A naturally gifted communicator in verbal and the written word
• Ability to multitask
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
• Proactive and energetic
• Team player
• Disciplined and focused
• Ability to work under pressure within time constraints
• Willing to complete a task which require additional time.
