Requirements:

• A relevant education or language qualification.
• A degree in education will be highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience, ideally in an educational or residential environment.
• Teaching, facilitation, or hostel environment experience.
• Experience working with children or teenagers (teaching, mentoring, or youth leadership).
• Strong skills in life coaching or life skills facilitation (e.g. communication, conflict resolution).
• Valid first aid training and ability to handle emergencies with calmness and fairness.
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
• Ability to engage effectively with learners, parents, and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable, warm personality.
• Respect for diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied working hours and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily supervision and management of children’s schedules.
• Overseeing children’s wellbeing, including health and safety.
• Managing staff and ensuring high standards of excellence.
• Coordinating and overseeing courses, activities, and assessments.
• Delivering interactive and practical sessions that encourage participation.
• Guiding children in developing leadership styles and life skills.
• Facilitating group discussions, activities, and roleplays.
• Creating a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment.
• Supporting the rollout of holiday programmes and academic excellence courses.
