About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Tally Clerk to join our timber operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping of all inbound and outbound timber loads, maintaining documentation, conducting quality inspections, and supporting operational efficiency on site.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and verify all incoming and outgoing timber loads.Check truck registration details, weighbridge slips, and delivery documentationConduct visual and moisture inspections of timber to ensure product quality.Perform and record moisture tests for each load and maintain proper documentation.Ensure each truckload is stacked separately and correctly identified with stack cards.Capture accurate data on quantity, grade, and quality of timber.Take clear photos for load verification and record-keeping.Communicate discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.Maintain an organized filing system for all tally sheets and load records.Support safe and compliant yard operations in line with company policies.Minimum RequirementsMatric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.Previous experience in timber, warehouse, or logistics operations will be advantageous.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Ability to work shifts (day/night) as per operational requirements.
