Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy firm to find a highly skilled and experienced Professional Electrical Engineer. As a Professional Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing electrical systems for various building projects. The vacancy is suitable for candidates who are either based in Durban or Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical design concepts and specifications based on client requirements, industry standards, and building codes.
• Create detailed electrical drawings and plans using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated effectively into building designs.
• Perform electrical calculations and analysis to ensure system efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Manage and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Monitor construction progress and provide support during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical engineering practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within building services.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage and supervise a team.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
