Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Elicit, analyze, and document business needs from stakeholders across the retail value chain (e.g., supply chain, in-store ops, e-commerce).
- Process Improvement: Map current vs. future state processes, identify gaps, and re-engineer for efficiency, driving best practices.
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales, customer, and operational data to find trends, patterns, and actionable insights, often using BI tools.
- Solution Design: Participate in solution design, define business rules, and ensure system changes meet objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business, IT, and other teams, facilitating workshops and presenting findings.
- Documentation: Create clear documentation like Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and user guides.
- Testing & Support: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment to ensure solutions work as intended.
Requirements
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis (SQL, Excel, BI tools like Tableau/PowerBI).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to influence stakeholders and bridge gaps between technical/non-technical teams.
- Retail Acumen: Understanding of retail trends, operations (POS, inventory, merchandising), and customer behavior.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum (user stories) or Waterfall (BRDs).
- Tools: Experience with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart) and project management software.
