Cape Town Region: Reconciliations Analyst

Our client a specialist consultancy serving global clients, seeks a dedicated and committed Reconciliation Analyst with a keen eye for detail, excellent MS Excel skills and experience in the FinOps / Payments space to join their team. Work with a leading financial consultancy focused on innovation and strategic growth Collaborative, dynamic culture with strong career progression opportunities Make a real impact in financial accuracy and client success What you will be doing: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across multiple payment channels and bank accounts Validate transactions and financial data from various sources Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain accurate, audit-ready records Prepare reconciliation summaries and variance reports Identify process improvement and automation opportunities Collaborate on cross-team projects with finance, operations, and technical teams What we are looking for: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years’ experience in financial operations or reconciliation (preferred) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) Familiarity with accounting systems (Sage, Xero, SAP, or similar) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Reliable transport and valid South African driver’s licence Nice-to-Have SQL or database query experience Exposure to multi-PSP or high-volume environments Experience with automated reconciliation tools or scripts Knowledge of South African financial regulations Benefits and unique aspects: Career development opportunities toward Financial Analyst roles Exposure to cutting-edge financial systems and processes Collaborative and supportive team environment Please note if you haven’t heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
