Johannesburg North: Financial Controller – 1 year FTC posted by Communicate Finance

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Review and assess available financial information, and prepare supporting documentation required to meet audit deliverables
Liaise with key internal personnel to obtain all necessary supporting information for audit requests
Manage the relationship with external financial statement preparers to ensure IFRScompliant financial statements are produced for the relevant years
Oversee the relationship with the company auditor, ensuring proactive engagement and adherence to agreed timelines for each financial period
Provide guidance to the Finance team on identified gaps and recommend process improvements to support ongoing compliance
Perform additional tasks as requested by Financial Leadership, including but not limited to:
Currentperiod controllership activities in alignment with the South African Controller
Audit support for other African entities (Nigeria and Morocco)
Support with Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and Transfer Pricing
Demonstrate and uphold our core values: curiosity, passion, authenticity, and accountability
 
Skills & Experience:
IFRS 15, 16, and 19
History of being the primary liaison for statutory audits

Qualification:
ACCA, CIMA or SPA
