Gauteng: MINI-LOAD MANAGER

Job Profile The Mini Load Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of the automated mini load storage and retrieval system. This role ensures smooth flow of materials, optimal use of warehouse automation, and adherence to productivity, accuracy, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the mini load system, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and uptime. Monitor and coordinate material flow between the mini load and other warehouse areas. Ensure timely put-away, storage, and retrieval of goods according to operational priorities. System Performance & Maintenance Liaise with maintenance teams and suppliers to schedule regular preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns. Monitor system performance and initiate corrective actions to prevent disruptions. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Team Leadership Supervise mini load operators and ensure proper shift coverage. Provide training and guidance on system operation, safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct performance reviews and promote a positive, safety-conscious work environment. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. 35 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably with automated systems (Mini Load / ASRS / conveyors). Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and material flow processes. Leadership and team management experience. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Basic technical/mechanical knowledge for system troubleshooting is an advantage.
