Hospitality Hire is seeking an experienced Night Auditor for a reputable hotel in Cape Town. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth overnight operations, and excellent guest service during night shifts. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and confident working independently while upholding hotel standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform end-of-day and night audit procedures accurately Balance daily revenue, room charges, and POS transactions Prepare daily financial and audit reports for management Ensure correct posting of charges, payments, and adjustments Manage overnight guest check-ins, check-outs, and enquiries Act as the senior hotel representative on duty during night shift Handle guest queries, complaints, and emergencies professionally Maintain security, safety, and front office procedures overnight Ensure handover notes are accurate and detailed for morning teams Requirements Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Night Auditor or Front Office role in a hotel Strong understanding of hotel night audit procedures Experience using hotel PMS systems (Opera experience advantageous) Solid numerical skills and high attention to detail Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Excellent communication and guest service skills Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays Key Competencies Accuracy and financial discipline Problem-solving and calm under pressure Professional guest interaction Strong organisational and time-management skills Trustworthiness and reliability
