Cape Town: Mid-Senior Automation Tester- Cape Town – 12 month contract – start Feb 2026-Hybrid posted by Africonology

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level automation tester to start in February 2026 – this is a hybrid based position (in office 2-3 times per week)

Requirements:

• Mid to senior-level automation tester with strong Python skills
• The ideal candidate should be comfortable automating both APIs and UI’s
• For API testing, experience with Pytest and requests module
• For UI testing, experience with either Playwright or Selenium
• Most validation will be API-driven, with some end-to-end coverage through UI and API
• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and basic SQL
• Experience with test management tools like QC and JIRA is essential
• Prior experience in the healthcare or insurance domain is a plus
• Given our medical aid domain, prior exposure to healthcare / insurance modules like member administration, claims, tariffs, benefits, handling complex business rules and third party integration would be a plus
• Familiarity with Django or Robot Framework is a bonus (but not a requirement)
