About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join our team in East London. As a key member of the legal support staff, you will provide administrative assistance to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dictaphone typing and general typing duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Screen and manage incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation records.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the legal team.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word; basic working knowledge of Excel advantageous.
  • Experience with GhostPractice accounting system beneficial (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Prior experience within a legal environment (Magistrates Court, Regional Court, or High Court) will be an advantage.
