Job Title: Grade R Teacher – Cape Town City Centre
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Grade R teacher to join our Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our learners, providing magical learning adventures that transform ordinary moments into unforgettable experiences.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Hold an NQF Level 5 qualification in ECD with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Grade R class
Provide contactable references or reference letters from previous employers
Have a clear criminal record
Be residing within a 6 km radius of our ECD in Kuilsriver, or have reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
As a Grade R teacher at our ECD centre, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and presenting daily lessons to your class
Managing the classroom confidently and independently
Ensuring and recording learners’ wellbeing upon arrival
Keeping accurate daily incident records and reporting concerns to the Principal
Monitoring learners’ behaviour and compiling behaviour reports where necessary
Compiling and submitting end-of-term learner reports
Additional responsibilities will be discussed during the in-person interview.
