Job Description

Reception Manager Position at a 5-Star Luxury Game Lodge

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Reception Manager to join our team at a vibrant and luxurious 5-star game lodge in Hoedspruit. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring their stay with us is memorable.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour when greeting guests as they arrive and check out
Manage incoming calls and respond to all guest queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
Accept payments and perform other administrative duties as required
Prioritize and manage tasks independently, utilizing good planning and organizational skills
Proactively use initiative and creative flair when necessary

Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management (desirable)
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end safari lodge or hotel
Excellent Reception and Front Office control
Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
Good understanding of lodge operations
Strong attention to detail is essential for ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the lodge’s high standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with guests and staff
Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office Suite, reservation systems, POS systems, financial systems (Debtors), and other relevant software
