About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Dairy Farm Manager to join our team in Ermelo. The successful candidate will have a strong background in dairy farming, with at least 5 years of experience on a dairy farm, and exceptional leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent pasture management practices
- Ensure the overall efficiency and productivity of the dairy farm
- Lead and manage a team of stockmen and other farm staff
- Keep accurate records and budgets, and work closely with computer systems
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve farm goals
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma or Degree (advantageous)
- At least 5 years experience on a dairy farm
- Great stockman essential
- Pasture management experience
- Computer literate
- Ability to work with budgets and keep good record
- Must be a hands-on person, hard-working, deadline-driven and diligent
Qualifications
- Maintenance orientated (valid driver’s license)
