About the Role
A well-established leader in the chemical and manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and dedicated Engineering Foreman to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-pressure maintenance environment and is committed to ensuring operational excellence through effective team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary maintenance team to ensure maximum plant availability.
- Oversee the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage workshop resources, spare parts inventory, and external contractors.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of an N4 qualification in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team management capacity.
- A recognized Trade Test is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial plant machinery and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
