About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HV Project/Contracts Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of HV projects from 11Kv to 132kv, with a focus on delivering high-quality results while ensuring timely completion and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of HV projects from design to commissioning
- Develop and implement project procurement and execution strategies and plans
- Provide technical leadership for HV designs/installations to include substations, switchgear, transformers, and SCADA interfaces
- Implement construction methodologies and installation schedules
- Conduct contract and commercial management of projects using NEC, JBCC, and FIDIC contracts
- Appoint subcontractors and ensure timely completion of project tasks
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (HV)
- ECSA registration
- 5-8 years experience in managing HV projects
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing project procurement and execution strategies and plans
- Solid working experience in contract and commercial management of projects
- Experience in providing technical leadership for HV designs/installations to include substations, switchgear, transformers, and SCADA interfaces
- Sound experience in HSE, quality, and risk management
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (HV)
