About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced BI Developer to join their team in Durban, KZN. We are looking for a skilled professional who can design, implement, and maintain business intelligence solutions that drive insights and inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Create and maintain data models, ETL processes, and BI reports that align with business objectives.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Reporting & Dashboards: Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI systems, ensuring smooth data processing and reporting.
Automation: Automate the generation and distribution of reports to ensure stakeholders have real-time access to data.
Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance standards and ensure data quality, security, and integrity.

Requirements

2-5 years of experience as a BI Developer or in a similar data-focused role.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Talend, or Informatica.
Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree a plus).
